I often have people asking me for ideas and suggestions on how to do “XYZ”, especially from virtual assistants who are just starting to learn how to do better for their clients.
So… starting on January 1, 2014 I’ll start a 31-day blog-post series designed for virtual assistants with some free or low-cost ideas on how to work more effectively in the online space. I’m naming this series “31 Days to Become a More Efficient and Effective Virtual Assistant” but in reality the ideas can be applied by any small business owner. If you’d like to sign up to get this series delivered to your email you can do so here.
Each post in this series is designed to do one (or more) of the following:
- Help you do your job better and more efficiently. Some suggestions will feature tools while others might be life-hacks.
- Help you save money. I’ll go over some ways to do that. We’ll talk about what tool to use for specific tasks when you’re working from home for either clients or yourself. Many of these ideas will also be good for your office.
- Help you become more tech savvy. We live in a digital age. We can figure out ways this can help us and these posts will help you do just that.
- Help you grow your network. Referrals, shares, likes, building trust: these are all important in our world.
There will inevitably be ideas or tools presented that you’re already utilizing in your business, so some of the posts might cover things you already know, but there will be 31 of them. You’re bound to learn something new. As I tell my students in my Virtual Assistant Jumpstart Course, “You don’t know what you don’t know.”
And, at any time during this series, feel free to comment here or post on my Facebook page with other ideas, tips or questions. Collectively we can accomplish great things!
A pre-note of thanks: Three people in my network – one client, one colleague and one student – each of them asked related questions which sparked the inspiration for this series. Many, many thanks going out to them for their part in this!
PS: If you’re considering becoming a virtual assistant or you’re fairly new in business I invite you to join this six-week online Virtual Assistant Jumpstart Course which will be starting on Wed. March 5, 2014.
